The UDT cable length indicator is produced instead of the S-52M counter and is designed to convert the rotational movement of the winch drum or the roller along which the cable moves into the length of the unwound (wound) cable.
It is used as part of the hydrometric winch PI-24M, in the meter unit of the GR-70 installation, and can also be supplied separately.
The measuring range of the length of the cable section is from 0 to ± 199.99 m.
